Join Venerable Juefang will share traditional Buddhist insights into mindfulness and meditation, where you will learn how to cultivate inner peace and compassion, unlocking your full potential to live a more fulfilling life. There may be unrealistic expectations on Buddhists to avoid, bypass or just ‘let go’ of conflict without resolving the cause of the conflict. So, what happens when Buddhists are placed in situations of conflict? How should we meet conflict should it arise in our personal and professional life? Ven. Juefang is the General Manager of the Hsing Yun Education Foundation and received her PhD in education studies from Peking University, China and her MA in Buddhist studies from Fo Guang University, Taiwan.

Join Dr Roger Cole, a compassionate palliative medicine specialist, and energy worker, for an inspiring talk series based on his life-changing journey towards a state of unlimited love and oneness with everything and everyone. After attending a workshop in 1984 from renowned psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, Roger released suppressed childhood grief and loss, go on to experience a sense of unlimited love and a state of being at one with everything and everyone. It lasted for three weeks. He found himself learning the art of channelling energy and meditation at The Garden of Peace in Stanwell Tops. While studying Helen Schucman's 'A Course in Miracles', Roger discovered a blissful and serene state that lasted for a year.

Despite being torn between becoming an energy worker and healer or following orthodox medicine, Roger chose the latter to develop his healing qualities through empathy, love, and compassion in his chosen field of Palliative Medicine. His intention was to relieve suffering and promote quality of life, and his approach was a combination of modern medicine and spiritual practice. He has over 35 years of training in compassion, kindness, meditation, and loving intentions, and he believes that diseases can be cured, or outcomes improved, through developing positive thoughts and elevated feelings with a clearly defined intention to heal.

In addition to his medical career, Roger has also developed a disciplined lifestyle through daily meditation practice, which he learned and taught Raja Yoga meditation after becoming a student of the Brahma Kumaris. With Maree's gifted partnership, Roger has founded Quantum Health Solutions to offer events and workshops nationally and internationally to raise consciousness, promote meditation, positive thinking, healing, and well-being.

Join Freya Dawson, a mother of two spirited boys, who understands the struggles that come with parenting. Her commitment to being a conscious and peaceful parent was put to the test when Freya found myself on a roller coaster of emotions, triggered by her children's behaviour. But, through this journey, she discovered a spiritual path to better parenting.

In this talk, Freya will share how she navigated the challenges of parenting without the use of coercion, and discuss issues such as diet, expression of emotions, learning, gaming, and screen time, and offer tips on how to address them peacefully. Freya will also share the unconventional choices she made, such as home educating her children and adopting a cooperative family problem-solving approach. Freya learned to connect with the peace and joy within herself and to listen to her children in Presence. Freya used self-inquiry to unlearn beliefs that were bringing stress and conflict into my life.

Freya’s commitment to respectful relationships has deepened over time and includes self-respect and self-care. Through her book "Joyful Parenting," teaching courses on parenting and unschooling, and mentoring parents, Freya has helped many others find a peaceful parenting path. Join Freya at the Buddha V Talk series event to learn how to transform your parenting journey and cultivate more peace, joy, and freedom in your family.

Who are the 5 Buddhas?

Each Buddha wears a different coloured robe and signals a different hand gesture to represent a specific virtue.
